If you already live in Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code or Windsurf, you do not have to leave it to run your catering business. Settings, Connect an AI gives you a key and the exact thing to paste. From then on your AI has the same hands Maître has: it looks things up, books events, changes guest counts, plans the Saturday crew, drafts the reply. It has your permissions and nothing more, every action shows in the activity feed as you via that AI, the big changes ask you first, and one click revokes it. The connection is the open Model Context Protocol, so it works with whatever AI you use next, too.

Stripe Connect, not Stripe-pretend

Apron Desk doesn't sit between you and your customer's money. You connect your own Stripe account (Standard). Payments hit your bank directly. We watch the webhook to update the event's paid status, but we never hold funds. (We use Stripe ourselves to bill the $425/mo subscription; that's a separate flow.)

Invoices into QuickBooks

Connect QuickBooks Online, then send an event's invoice from its Financials tab with one click. Apron Desk finds or creates the customer in QuickBooks and writes the line items. Send it again after a change and the same QuickBooks invoice is updated, not duplicated. The sync goes one way: from Apron Desk into QuickBooks.

REST API + outbound webhooks

If you have a developer, here's the door: documented REST API at /api/v1, authenticated via per-workspace API keys minted in /settings/api. Outbound webhooks fire on event.created / payment.received / lead.created etc., HMAC-signed and retried on failure. Push events to your accounting tool, Slack, Zapier, or whatever you use.
