Apron Desk vs Curate
Curate is a well-designed, modern proposal and event product with a strong following among florists and event professionals, and it is genuinely pleasant to use.
Written by us, so read it with that in mind. We have tried to be fair, and we say plainly below where Curate is the better choice.
Reasons to choose Curate over us
- Floral is a real part of your business. Curate grew up there and it shows.
- Proposals are the centre of your workflow and you want that part to be excellent.
- You like the product and your team is already comfortable in it.
Where we differ
| Apron Desk | Curate | |
|---|---|---|
| The kitchen and the day itself | Pack lists by service style, prep sheets aggregated by date, recipe cost roll-up, driver dispatch, crew clock-in. | Strong on the front half of the job, from inquiry through proposal. |
| Food costing | Recipes roll up to a true per-plate cost, so margin is visible before you quote. | We have not checked how Curate handles recipe and per-plate costing. Ask them directly. |
| AI | Included across the product, and your own AI can connect over MCP and act as you. | We have not checked what AI Curate offers today. Ask them directly. |
Caterers whose hardest days are in the kitchen and on the road, not only in the proposal.
Event businesses with a significant floral component, or where the proposal is the whole product.
